Leadership (le-der-ship) n: to show the way; to guide; to inspire; to treat others the way you want to be treated.

    Leadership Program Overview

The leadership program includes education on being a leader, leadership training, and ongoing leadership development. The students will participate in a 6-month leadership training course, and then continue to polish their leadership skills with ongoing training.

The program includes weekly classes, periodic seminars, community service work, and internship.

After the initial 6 months of training, students participate in the course again, but this time they are polishing their leadership skills. They will participate in the classes as role models and leaders for the new students to follow. Once the student completes the second round of the 6-month course, they begin to work on projects with the leadership team captain.

This course is split into two areas of training: Leadership Development and Leadership Training. The students will participate in weekly leadership education classes which include 12 Leadership 101 lessons. One lesson is taught per week for 12 weeks which equals 3 months of leadership development. The next 3 months of training include one month of learning basic classroom exercises and drills, one month of leadership teaching skills, and one month of project management for a community service activity.
